Accuracy and measurement travel :
Incremental probes keep their accuracy on all the measurement travel.
Inductive probes must be used for relative measurement travels with short measurement range depending on the required accuracy.
Inductive probes lead to use blocks or standards. The dimensions of these blocks or standards are to suit the dimensions of the parts to be controlled.
Electronic processing :
The optical incremental technology consists in counting up or down steps. These steps are materialised by engraved pitches on the probe moving part.
There is no adjustment, no gain, no offset, no drift inside the PROMUX and PROMUX4C units or inside the PROMUX8 multiplexers. The accuracy of such a measurement set depends on the connected probes only.
